A KILLER dad told how he slaughtered his pregnant wife, six children and his mum after becoming enraged at his six-year-old son’s “parrot” haircut.
Oleg Belov confessed to knifing his family to death in a ten-minute rampage and using an axe to dismember their bodies, claiming the Bible suggests the family will be later “resurrected” and reunited.
He told a judge his wife Yulia, 32, wanted to divorce him and cut their son Fyodor’s hair in a “foolish” style, hoping to support her case with authorities he should play no part in their upbringing.
Speaking at his trial for the mass murder in homeland Russia, the 51-year-old said: “She cut him like a parrot. I asked her ‘Are you kidding or what?’
“I tried to grab the hair clipper, and a fight broke out. I hit her twice in the jaw, she ran into the hallway and started knocking the neighbours’ doors.
“She screamed. I had never heard her screaming so loud. I was very scared. I was scared now they would definitely take away the children.”
He went on to say he killed his wife because he feared he would lose his kids if he didn’t, saying: “I killed the children so they would stay mine.”
Belov was deemed “mentally healthy” by psychiatrists, who said he understood the consequences of his actions.
Prosecutors claim the dad murdered “his wife Yulia in the presence of their children and tried to “cover up the crime by killing all the children”.
They claim his eldest daughter, seven-year-old Alena rushed to her mum’s body but was grabbed by the hair by her dad and knifed at least seven times.
He then killed Sonia, 5, Nikifor, 3 and Ilya, 2, before putting one-year-old Daria in bed and stabbing her.
The prosecutor added: “After killing everyone in the room, he went to the bathroom where six-year-old Fyodor was hiding and stabbed him at least four times.”
After killing every member of his household, he then went to his 73-year-old mum, Zinaida Belova’s, house, saying “I’m sorry, I’m sorry” before stabbing her 21 times.
He said: “I took my mother’s axe and dismembered the bodies using surgical gloves.”
The killer, who begged forgiveness from his mother-in-law at trial, put the body parts in bags and covered the flat in foam to stop the smell spreading - but was caught a week later when Yulia's mum alerted authorities she couldn't get hold of her daughter.
Speaking at trial, Valentina Zaitseva, 69, said: "He is a good actor. These are crocodile tears he sheds now.
"The same was back in 2010 when he tried to kill her first time. He cried and she forgave him."
