32-year-old Ronald Pritchett allegedly stabbed his parents Fortunato and Renitta Pritchett at their home in Louisana.
His mother was found with multiple stab wounds to the head, while the body of Fortunato was found upstairs with multiple stab wounds to the chest.
Jefferson Parish Sheriff Newell Normand said Ronald was visiting his parents from his home in Mississippi when an argument broke out over a fast food order.
Ronald reportedly grabbed a knife, kicked his parents’ bedroom door open and started stabbing them before escaping in his father’s Chevrolet Suburban.
Lamar Country Sheriff Danny Rigel said Ronald was located at his home in Mississippi and a K9 unit had to force him out.
“He refused to come out, we sent in a K-9 and he was taken into custody,” Sheriff Rigel said.
Ronald was treated for minor injuries from the dog and signed an extradition order to return him to Jefferson Parish officers.
